Sacramental Program

The Parish Sacrament Program is for school-aged children (from Year 3) preparing to celebrate the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Eucharist.

Our Sacramental Program is family and community based and values the role of parents as the first educators of their child’s faith formation. Recognising that parents have already been modelling our Christian faith to their children, the initiation of children into the sacramental life is in the main, the responsibility of parents.

Led by our Parish Sacramental Leaders and School APRIMS, parents will be actively supported in preparing their children to receive their Sacraments. During this time of preparation and celebration, families also have the support of our parish community who will pray for the children and celebrate those becoming fully initiated members of the Church, the "Body of Christ".

Your family’s active participation and immersion in the life of our parish community will further strengthen and develop your child's faith formation. During the Sacramental Program, families are encouraged to:

  • Join our parish community at Sunday Mass.
  • Participate in our Sacramental Program family workshops.
  • Attend rehearsals in preparation for the celebrations.

Parents wishing to enrol their child in the Family Parish Sacrament Program can contact the Parish Office, Sacramental Program Co-ordinator or school APRIMS.

A copy of your child’s Baptism Certificate must accompany your completed enrolment form.

Reception into the Catholic Church

If your child has not been Baptised in the Catholic faith, but has been baptised in another Christian faith, then arrangements must be made for your child to be Received into the Catholic Faith.
